Barcode Check privacy policy

Barcode Check is a Shopify app made by Nvicta, in Iceland. It checks the barcodes on a store's products and lists the ones that are missing, invalid or shared by more than one product variant.

What it reads

Only products: each variant's id, title, SKU and barcode, and each product's id and title. It asks Shopify for no other access. It never reads customers, orders or payment details.

What it keeps

• The store's myshopify.com address.
• The access token Shopify gives the app, so it can read the store's products.
• The last check's counts: how many variants it read and how many problems of each kind it found. The list of problems itself isn't kept.

This is stored in Amazon Web Services in Ireland (eu-west-1), encrypted at rest.

How long

Until the app is uninstalled. When a store uninstalls the app, or Shopify asks for a store's data to be erased, everything above is deleted.

Who sees it

No one else. The data isn't sold or shared, and it's used only to run the checks.
